Yanda's Webcam Setup

Context

With more meetings being video-conference / virtual, feels worth having a high-quality video-conferencing setup. Below is mine.

Setup

  1. Put the lens on the camera.
  2. Mount the camera on the tripod or monopod behind your monitor.
  3. Connect the camera to the outlet, either over micro-USB or ideally via dummy battery for better charge.
  4. Connect the camera to the BlackMagic Micro Converter box via HDMI to Micro-HDMI cable.
  5. Connect the Blackmagic Micro Converter to the Blackmagic Web Presenter 4K via the 3G SDI cable.
  6. Connect Blackmagic Web Presenter to an outlet via PC Power cable.
  7. Connect Blackmagic Web Presenter to your computer via the USB-C cable.
  8. Turn camera on. I put it in video mode for better face autofocus. Your mileage may vary.
  9. Option for BlackMagic Web Presenter as Zoom video source option.
  10. You're good to go!
